Here at TTC, we are proud to be like no other. A performance course tailor-made to suit each student's ability and goals. Smaller classes, bigger goals.

This full-time course prepares students to become professional performers with many attributes that help them be on top of their game pre-graduation.

Each student that enrols with us on our standard two-year journey, will be placed onto the performance course to ensure a full versatility in skill set.

Explanation of our course :

In the first year, students develop securely in all forms of dance, drama, musical theatre and singing, progressing at an ambitious rate. Students develop technical skills and explore different styles of performance. Technical classes are personalised according to the students’ level of ability and this is analysed by termly assessments enabling progression and development requirements to be tailored to the individual.

In the second year of training is developed and enhanced further. Students are encouraged to develop skills which have direct relevance to their career paths and learn techniques to set them apart from the crowd. (See Musical and Commercial course pages). The student refines and polishes performance skills ensuring a well rounded and individual performer.

Throughout the two years, assessments are regularly made; initially by the Directors and Heads of Faculties and then by Tutors. The frequency of evaluation and review ensures students an unrestricted opportunity to progress. At the end of the second year, students are invited to audition for the One Year Professional Performance Course.

The third year (see PPC page) is optional; we brand this as a finishing course - you can bolt this on to your 2 year performance course, or as a standalone 1 year intensive. If this course becomes a continuation of your training with us, we review your scholarship in accordance with your progression through the two years. We are one of the only college's that offers an increase in scholarship. Each student is different. Different rates of progression, different timelines, different strengths, different weaknesses. We value and nourish this; it has been our ethos from the beginning and will never change.

The PPC course will be paired with intense mentoring on ensuring professional standards are matched with the current expectations of the industry today; soon to be in accordance with"Tiffany Management".

An ‘audition’ folder is developed throughout the course and is personalised to include sheet music from rehearsed songs and monologues which suit the individual student. Graduating students have classes in audition preparation and technique and will go to castings and auditions confident and prepared for the realities of professional theatre. Students have workshops with performers, agents, financial advisors (to explain tax, self-employment etc.) spotlight and equity representatives.

CVs, photos, and Z cards are prepared during the final months and TTC suggests a choice of photographers and agencies.
